Commissioner Stacy George
Gubernatorial Candidate
Alabama
1. When and how did you become a Christian?
Stacy George:"My mother took me to summer
vacation bible school when I was a kid. Then around age of 12, after my Dad got
hurt and paralyzed, my mom took me to church on Sundays. It wasn’t until age 23
(Jan 6, 1992) that I got saved and then baptized a few days later. I was saved
in a Baptist church and baptized in a Church of Christ because the Baptists were
taking too long to baptize me. I wanted to be immersed quickly and the Church
of Christ was willing to baptize me immediately."
2. How did becoming a Christian change you?
Stacy George:"It set me on the right path in
life even though I veered off several times after that."
3. How would you describe your relationship with
Jesus today?
Stacy George:"The most important aspect of a
Christian is their relationship with Jesus. My relationship with Jesus is
great."
4. Which church in which city do you attend most
often?
Stacy George:"I attend Victory Cornerstone in Arab, AL."
5. In the past 12 months, how many church services
have you attended?
Stacy George:"I would say I attended 48 out of
52."
6. In the past 12 months, how much time have you
spent in prayer to God daily?
Stacy George:"I pray daily and have communion
almost daily. I miss sometimes when I get rushed between trying to get enough
rest and getting to work on time. I don’t like to miss my communion because I
believe that is important intimate time with the Holy Trinity. Prayer is VERY
important to me. See page 108 of my book that I released in September 2021."
7. In the past 12 months, how much Bible reading
have you averaged daily?
Stacy George:"I read 1 to 3 chapters a day and
listen to the bible on my bible app."
8. Do you believe Jesus always has been both God
and the Son of God?
Stacy George:"Yes."
9. Why did Jesus die on the cross?
Stacy George:"To redeem us from the curse of
Adam, to restore us back to GOD as it was before Adam sinned in the Garden of
Eden. The blood of Jesus cleanses me of all sin and unrighteousness. Because
of his blood, I now have right standing with GOD, not because of anything I have
done but because of what Jesus has done to restore us back to the Kingdom of
GOD. Basically, Jesus bought us back with his blood. Praise God! John 14:6."
10. Do you believe Jesus rose from the dead?
Stacy George:"YES, absolutely!"
11. Do you believe Jesus ascended to heaven and
will return someday?
Stacy George:"YES, absolutely!"
12. By what criterion do you believe people go to
heaven?
Stacy George:"Must accept Jesus as the Son of
God and believe with your heart Romans 10:9 (not just with your mind). And must be
born-again (John 3) and be baptized (Acts 2:38)."
13. In the past year, how many non-Christians have
you told why Jesus died?
Stacy George:"I do salvation/healing and
deliverance in the prison where I work, so I would say hundreds. Inmates are
eager for the hope of Jesus found in the gospel. About three and half years ago,
my wife and I started our Jesus Christ is the Answer Facebook page, and we try
to share Jesus wherever we go daily (not just in church). We both have 'Jesus
Christ is the Answer' magnets on our car and I give out cards with that message
on them."
14. Which gift(s) has the Holy Spirit given you,
and what fruit(s) has it borne?
Stacy George:"I believe the Holy Spirit gives
gifts as needed depending on the situation and who you are ministering to. I
have operated in words of wisdom, discerning of spirits, tongues, prophesy and
working of miracles. I do salvation/healing/deliverance in the prison, and
hundreds have been saved, healed and/or delivered. My best gifts are faith and
love."
15. What do you pray to God for/about our nation?
Stacy George:"I pray for justice for people in
prison and outside the prison. I do not feel many get real justice. As Governor,
I have ideas on ways to bring justice and liberty back to Alabama."
16. How do you define "marriage"?
Stacy George:"A covenant relationship between
man and woman, NOT man and man or woman and woman."
17. Under what circumstances do you believe
abortion should be allowed?
Stacy George:"NEVER."
18. What remedies do you advocate against illegal
immigration?
Stacy George:"Alabama would adopt a mile on the
border and secure it with the National Guard."
19. Where can the rest of your policy positions be read?
Stacy George:"On my website
stacyleegeorge.com
and my book Let Stacy Lee George Do It. If you go
to my website for the book
letstacyleegeorgedoit.com, you can view a free 10-page excerpt of the book
and more information. After you read my book you will see how as Morgan County
Commissioner for 2 terms, I was able to weed out corruption and save tax payers
money, and not just 'talk' about it."
20. What would you like to say to Alabama's Christian voters?
Stacy George:"PRAY before you vote and GOD will
give you the answer of whom to vote for.
"Before God, I affirm my answers above to be entirely true and without exaggeration."
